On May 28, the Ambassador of Cuba, Rodolfo Benítez, accompanied by the delegation of the Ministry of Construction of Cuba that visits South Africa, presided by Rolando Macias, Director of International Relations of that institution, were received by the Minister of Human Settlements, Mrs. Nomaindia Mfeketo.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of the bilateral cooperation agreement on construction, including that referring to the work carried out by Cuban technical advisers in several South African provinces and the plans for the training in Cuba of South African engineers and technicians.
Both sides emphasized the good state of existing relations and the commitment not only to maintain, but to continue strengthening, bilateral cooperation on human settlements, for mutual benefit.
The occasion was propitious for the director of International Relations of the MICONS to present to the South African Minister a letter of Rene Mesa Villafaña, Minister of Construction of Cuba, congratulating her on her recent appointment and extending an invitation to visit our country.
