Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development of SVG visits the Cuban Embassy.

Kingstown, 30 January 2026 - The Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Kishore Shallow, visited the headquarters of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in this country, where he was received by the Cuban Ambassador, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.

During the cordial meeting, both parties exchanged views on the current status and prospects of bilateral relations, with special emphasis on the common interest in further enhancing cooperation in the area of hospitality and tourism, strategic sectors for the economic development of both countries.

Dr. Shallow highlighted Cuba’s experience and human capital in the field of tourism and hotel training, as well as existing opportunities to strengthen cooperation links, exchange of good practices and the training of professionals in the sector.

Rodríguez Etcheverry reiterated Cuba’s willingness to further expand cooperation with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on the basis of solidarity, mutual respect and shared benefit, underlining the potential of joint initiatives contributing to the sustainable development of tourism in the region.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and understanding, and reaffirmed the will of both parties to continue strengthening the cooperative relations between the two countries (Embassy of Cuba in San Vicente y las Granadinas/Cubaminrex).
