Mongolia Commemorates the Ninth Anniversary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro's Passing into Immortality

Ulaanbaatar, November 25, 2025. The Cuban Embassy in Mongolia hosted a tribute today in this capital to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on the ninth anniversary of his death.

The commemoration was attended by the island's designated ambassador to that nation, Emilio Pevida Pupo, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic mission, and Mongolian friends of Cuba, all united in the purpose of honoring the memory of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Ambassador Pevida Pupo reminded those present of Fidel's enduring legacy, the relevance of his thought, life, and work, his defense of the highest human values, his consistent practice of internationalism, and his tireless struggle for a more just and equitable world—principles that continue to guide the foreign policy of the Caribbean nation today.

The diplomat also emphasized that his legacy lives on in the hearts of millions of people around the world, in the resilience of the Cuban people in the face of the challenges imposed by the criminal U.S. blockade, and in the friendly and cooperative relations that Cuba maintains with dozens of nations worldwide, such as Mongolia.
