Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. May 13, 2019. Invited by Mrs. J. Tsolmon, President of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, the Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción had the opportunity to visit the high center of studies in which he also had the possibility to exchange with teachers and students. The President of this Mongolian educational institution was accompanied in the meeting by the Vice President of Clinical Affairs D. Zorig, by the Dean B. Damdindorj, by the Director of International Relations and Cooperation N. Garma, and by the Head of the Department of Nutrition L Delgerzul.
During the meeting, the Ambassador explained in details of the Cuban health system as well as the possibilities of cooperation that are opened for this institution in Mongolia, based on the experience accumulated by the largest of the Antilles in the field of medical development, the formation of human resources, medical prevention, research and the production of medicines. During his speech, the Ambassador pointed out the progress made in the registration and application in Mongolia of Cuban biotechnological products and the possibilities offered by this collaboration for the University in terms of joint research and development of professionals in these new Cuban products.
On her side, the President of the University indicated her interest in collaborating with the Cuban medical authorities, in all possible fields, including the training of human resources in the institution and the attention to the new Teaching Assistant University Hospital, which will be inaugurated in the coming months, which will need medical professionals with experience to attend all medical specialties.
