Roseau, Dominica, October 23, 2022. A new caravan demanding the end of the economic, commercial and financial embargo of United States against Cuba, which concluded with an act of solidarity with our country, was held yesterday afternoon in Roseau, Dominica. Both activities were convened by the "Dominica-Cuba Friendship Association" and included the participation of members of said association, members of the "Association of Cuban Residents in Dominica José Martí", of the Permanent Brigade of Health Collaborators, of a representation of the Embassy of Venezuela and officials of the Embassy of Cuba.

After the Caravan, an act of solidarity with Cuba was held. In representation of Dominica spoke Damien Dublin, President of the "Dominican-Cuban Friendship Association"; Frankie Lowe, a member of that association; Cecil Joseph, manager of Radio DBS and Leroy Charles, radio personality. They all expressed their love, admiration and respect for Cuba and for the collaboration it offers to Dominica; demanding the immediate end of the embargo. For Cuba, the Ambassador, Ulises Arranz Fernández and health collaborators Yaulenis Luna Tamayo and María Cristina Proenza Garrido did it. The collaborators referred to the inhuman effects of the embargo against Cuba and thanked the solidarity that Dominica offers in the battle to end it.

In this regard, he referred the Cuba's report to the UN General Assembly on the occasion of the debate on that issue, and made a brief account of the damage caused by the embargo against Cuba with appear in that report.

Finally, the Ambassador thanked the government and people of Dominica for their traditional position to condemn to embargo. He concluded by quoting the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, when presenting the aforementioned report, when he said: “Cuba has the right to live without a blockade.  It has the right to live in peace.  Cuba would be better off without a blockade; it would be better off without a blockade.  We would all be better off without a blockade. The United States would be a better country without the blockade against Cuba.  The world would be a better place without the blockade against Cuba”.
