Kingstown, June 10, 2026. — The Ambassador of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, paid a courtesy call to Ms. Anna C. Young, recently appointed CEO of Invest SVG, the national investment promotion agency of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
During the cordial meeting, the Cuban diplomat congratulated Ms. Young on her appointment to the leadership of an institution that plays a key role in the country's economic development and conveyed his best wishes for success in her new responsibilities. The new Executive Director of Invest SVG assumed her duties in May 2026, bringing with her extensive international experience in finance, investment, and business management.
Both parties exchanged views on opportunities to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as on the potential for promoting initiatives that contribute to sustainable development and the well-being of both peoples.
The Cuban Ambassador highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations between the two countries, which are grounded in a long-standing history of friendship, solidarity, and mutual cooperation. He also invited Invest SVG to participate in trade exhibitions organized by Cuba, including the ExpoCaribe and FIHAV fairs.
Ms. Young expressed her appreciation for the visit and her interest in learning more about Cuba’s experiences in various areas of economic and social development. She also underscored the importance of strengthening ties with regional partners in order to foster new opportunities for growth and investment.
