Ulaanbaatar, November 13, 2025 – The newly designated Ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, Emilio Pevida Pupo, was received by the Secretary of State, Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav, to whom he presented the Copies of Credentials accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to that nation.
In a cordial atmosphere, both parties reviewed the current state and prospects of relations between the two countries, noting the positive state of bilateral and multilateral ties, while also expressing their mutual interest in further strengthening the historic bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite the two peoples.
The diplomatic representatives of both countries expressed their satisfaction with the upcoming celebration on December 7th of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Mongolia, which began on that date in 1960.
The Secretary of State wished the new Cuban Ambassador every success and expressed his and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' willingness to support him in carrying out his duties in the country.
The ceremony, which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was also attended by, on the Mongolian side, His Excellency Mr. Anand Amgalan, Director General of the Department of the Americas, Middle East and Africa, as well as other officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
