Havana, July 4th, 2025: “We swear loyalty to the Homeland, the Party, the State and our people,” said Eugenio Martínez Enríquez on behalf of the new heads of Cuban missions abroad who were sworn in this Thursday afternoon in a solemn ceremony headed by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.
In his words, the voice of the 42 new ambassadors who group several generations, thus confirming “the continuity of Cuban diplomacy”, that which “is not afraid to tell the truth, nor denounce injustice and does not accept pressures of any kind,” said the diplomat.
“We are of the people who today are resisting the aggression and consequently the difficult economic situation; we will not forget that for a second,” said Martínez Enríquez at the ceremony where members of the Political Bureau, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, the National Assembly of People's Power, the bodies of the Central Administration of the State and Government, and the mass organizations, as well as relatives of the new Chiefs of Mission were also present.
