Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada was received by the new Director of the Second Department for the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Mr. Ahmad Pabarja.
In this first meeting, both sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the Island and the Persian nation in several spheres, especially in view to the celebration of the next XVI session of the Intergovernmental Commission, which will take place on 13-15 February in Havana.
The Ambassador and Pabarja agreed that the current state of political and diplomatic relations between their respective countries is excellent and efforts should continue to be made to foster economic and trade links, overcoming any difficulties that may arise.
Before assuming his current responsibility, Mr. Pabarja served as Ambassador of Iran to the Republic of Ecuador from March 2013 to December 2016. In addition, he served as Ambassador in Bogota; in the Office of Higher Political and International Studies; as Official in the Directorate of Financial Resources, Investment and Development Aid; and as Director of Economic Affairs and South America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
