Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. December 22, 2020. Mr. Mendsaihkhan Zagdjav, Mongolia's new Minister of Agriculture, Food and Light Industry, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Raúl Delgado Concepción, in a meeting today in which the main aspects of the cooperation that in agriculture and livestock could be developed between both countries. Also present at the meeting were Mr. Ganzorig B., the Director of International Cooperation and the official Ms. Tanan Bat-Ireedui of the Department of Consolidation and Political Planning of International Cooperation.
Among the topics discussed at the meeting was the interest of the Mongolian side in the extensive use in the Mongolian fields of BIORAT, a Cuban bio-rodenticide produced by the LABIOFAM S.A. Company, for the control of mouse pests. For his part, the Ambassador pointed out the possibility of the use in Mongolia of other products of this Cuban company such as bio-larvicides and products for animal health in Mongolian agriculture and livestock.
Minister Zagdjav, for his part, reiterated the interest of this Mongolian institution in these products for agriculture and livestock, based on what was agreed in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Labiofam SA and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry. (EmbaCuba Mongolia).
