Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. July 31, 2020. The new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Nyamtseren Enkhtaivan received the Ambassador of Cuba Raúl Delgado Concepción and they exchanged on the good state of diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two countries. The Cuban ambassador transmitted a congratulatory message from the Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, on the occasion of his appointment as head of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry.
At the meeting, good friendship relations between Cuba and Mongolia were discussed, and how these have been strengthened based on the close ties between the two peoples, and opinions were also exchanged on the importance of improving bilateral cooperation in the economic, educational and health sectors.
Ambassador Raúl Delgado affirmed his commitment to continue working with Minister N. Enkhtaivan to expand bilateral cooperation, and expressed that Cuba is ready to share its experience in the health and biotechnology sector with Mongolia. Foreign Minister N. Enkhtaivan praised Cuba's efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic, and also expressed his interest in collaborating and learning from the Cuban experience in tourism development.
This year 2020 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries and in the framework of the celebration of this historic anniversary, both parties have developed a group of activities among which the planting of 60 trees "Garden of the Friendship" located in the Ulaanbaatar National Park.
