The ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, visited the new president of the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Enkhtuvshin Dashtseren. The head of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of that organization, Mr. Gerelsaikhan.Ts, as also present.
The Ambassador delivered to the President of the Mongolian Chamber a letter of congratulations for his election, sent by his Cuban counterpart, Antonio Carricarte, for which he thanked.
Both parties discussed the actions for the implementation of the Collaboration Agreement and the Action Plan between the Chambers of the two countries, signed in 2021.
The Cuban ambassador explained the positive results of the recently held XXXIX International Havana Fair (FIHAV 2023) in terms of attendance and signed contracts, as well as the progress of investments and of the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM). He also referred to the updating of Cuba's Investment Opportunities Portfolio, particularly in those sectors in which Mongolia and Cuba have strengths.
The President of the Mongolian Chamber invited Cuba to be represented at the Ulaanbaatar International Spring Fair that will take place from May 16 to 19, 2024, as well as at the Autumn Fair from September 25 to 29, 2024. next year.
Both parties agreed on the business potential based on the sectorial strengths of each country, as well as on the opportunity that participation in fairs in Cuba offers to Mongolian companies to interact with the island and also with Latin American and Caribbean countries.
