Tehran, November 6, 2020. Last night, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Mr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, arrived in Havana.
During his stay in the Republic of Cuba, Foreign Minister Zarif will fulfill a busy schedule that includes meetings with high-ranking authorities of our government.
The visit of the Iranian foreign minister reinforces the historical ties of friendship and brotherhood between our peoples and will contribute to the strengthening of excellent bilateral ties. Cuba and the Islamic Republic of Iran reestablished diplomatic relations on August 8, 1979, which made the Island one of the first countries to recognize the new republic that was born after the triumph of the Islamic Revolution.
