Louth, Ireland, May 12, 2025. Thanks to the enthusiasm and initiative of Yohanca María Díaz Skeet, a Cuban resident in Ireland, and the support of a group of Irish people, another container with medical supplies and important items is ready as solidarity aid to Cuba. This time, from County Louth, far north of Ireland.
Cuban Ambassador Bernardo Guanche Hernández, his wife, the Counselor in Charge of Consular Affairs, Mabel Rodríguez Morera, and their young son, Carlos Manuel, arrived there today on a working visit to make their modest contribution to finalizing the preparations for the shipment of the aforementioned container.
The participants in this important gesture of solidarity with Cuba discussed with the ambassador the severe impact of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade on all aspects of the Cuban people's lives, as well as the inclusion of his country on the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
Likewise, on behalf of the embassy, he thanked Yohanca and the rest of the Irish present for their efforts to complete this shipment in the coming hours.
The meeting became a day of brotherhood, humanism, and solidarity with Cuba.
Louth is a county near the border with Northern Ireland, just over 100 km from the capital city of Dublin.
