Roseau. October 11, 2022. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the Commonwealth of Dominica, Ulises I. Arranz Fernández, held a meeting with the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and New Investments in Health with particular responsibility in Community Care and Domiciliary, Honourable Kent Edwards. The meeting was held at the headquarters of that Ministry.
During the meeting, the Ambassador offered extensive information on the program of the International Convention "Cuba-Salud, 2022" and the XV edition of the "Health for All 2022 Trade Fair", to be held from 17 to 21 of this month of October, in the Havana Convention Center, under the motto: "Universal Health, as part of the 2030 Health Agenda, in the post-Covid-19 scenario." The Ambassador reiterated the invitation of the Minister of Health of Cuba, Dr. José Á. Portal Miranda, to the Minister of Health, Welfare and New Investments of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Honourable Dr. Irving McIntyre to participate in both events. During the meeting, the Honourable Kent Edwards announced his participation in both event on behalf of the Minister, the Honorable Dr. Irving McIntyre.
The International Convention "Cuba-Health, 2022" is sponsored by national and international organizations and has among its purposes to discuss the models of confronting COVID-19 at the global and regional level, as well as its economic, social and health impacts.
For its part, the "Health for All Trade Fair" is the most important trade fair in the Cuban health sector and will bring together Companies, Laboratories, Universities and specialized national and foreign firms, to promote trade relations between the parties. It will be an ideal space for exhibitors to make business contacts, do business, identify new partners, exchange knowledge and update themselves on new technological developments in the branch of medical sciences.
