PEO and the Cyprus-Cuban Friendship Association were represented at the 19th European Solidarity Meeting with Cuba, which took place on November 23 and 24 in Paris.
More than 350 representatives from unions, friendship and solidarity associations, and political parties from 28 European countries attended.
All representatives expressed their unwavering solidarity with the Cuban people, and practical ways to express this solidarity were discussed.
They strongly condemned the criminal American commercial and economic sanctions against Cuba and pledged to decisively fight for the repeal of US regulations that block all transactions with Cuba in all European countries, as well as for companies that wish to operate in Cuba.
PEO was represented by Christos Tombazos, Central Organizing Secretary, and Vera Polykarpou, General Secretary of Cyprus Friendship.
