Kingstown, May 2, 2024. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Mr. RAYMOND Ryan, received this morning the Cuban ambassador to this country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.
The Cuban diplomat expressed that it is time for both countries to resume cooperation relations in the field of sports, where there are many potentials in various disciplines such as soccer, athletics, volleyball and basketball, very popular sports in this Caribbean nation.
The Permanent Secretary pointed out that it would be very positive for both countries to work together in these specialties and recognized the prestige of Cuban coaches in the international arena.
Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines maintain active and growing ties of cooperation in the areas of health and construction, but sports offers multiple possibilities to diversify these ties (Embassy of Cuba in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
