Pretoria, January 30, 2023.- A delegation from the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (POPCRU) made a working visit to Cuba in which they carried out an intense joint program with the National Union of Civil Defense Workers (SNTCD, by its acronym in Spanish).
The delegation was received by the member of the Political Bureau of the Cuban Communist Partyand Secretary General of the Central Union of CubanWorkers, Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento. The meeting ratified the good state of bilateral relations and advocated for the strengthening of ties between the trade unions of both countries.
As part of the program, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the general secretaries of POPCRU and the SNTCD, Jeff Dladla and Mabel Acea, respectively. The document lays the foundations for further deepening inter-trade union relations and increased cooperation between both organizations.
In addition, within the framework of the visit, the General Secretary of POPCRU participated as a panelist in the Forum of Trade Unions of the "V Conference for World Balance" held in Havana.
