Presentation on Cuba at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School.

Kingstown, April 14, 2025 - Ninety sixth graders from the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines received a comprehensive presentation on Cuba by the Cuban Ambassador to this country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.

The students of this prestigious school learned about the history, culture, sports, religion, gastronomy, lifestyle and some traditions of Cuba, while asking numerous questions and comments that contributed to enrich the debate.

The ambassador offered elements about José Martí, National Hero of Cuba and his book dedicated to children "The Golden Age"; he spoke about the legacy of Fidel Castro, historical leader of the Cuban Revolution and also about the Cuban multi Olympic and World champion Teófilo Stevenson, legendary boxer who has Vincentian roots and blood, since his father was born in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

It was a nice opportunity to continue sharing information of interest about Cuba, which has strong ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. (Cuban Embassy in St. Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
