Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. June 2, 2020. Ambassador of Cuba Raúl Delgado Concepción received copies of the anthological Mongolian literary piece "Secret History of the Mongols" from the hands of the Diplomat and Doctor in Historical and Political Sciences, Urianjay Guudain Tumurchuluun. In commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between both countries, the reprint of the Secret History of the Mongols, in Spanish, constitutes a worthy tribute to the history and culture of this millennial country with which Cuba signed diplomatic relations on December 7, 1960.
In his words, the Cuban Ambassador pointed out the importance of commemorating such an important anniversary between both countries, taking into account history as a link of unity and mutual respect. This workconstitutes the first literary work in the Mongolian language, it is an epic poetic work that narrates the rise to power of the famous Mongolian leader Gengis Khan. The Secret History is the only work on the emergence and expansion of the Mongol Empire that comes from the Mongols themselves, which presents an internal vision of the Mongol Empire, hence its importance.
Dr. Tumurchuluun, remark that the reprint of this work translated into Spanish has special significance to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and that it also has in-depth analysis carried out in his foreword by Ambassador Jesús A. Aise Sotolongo, who served as Director of the Centers of Studies on Asia and Oceania in Cuba. (EmbaCuba- Mongolia)
