The new head of the Cuban Mission in Qatar, Enrique Enríquez, presented to the Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, the Copies of Style that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in this Arab nation.
During the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Qatari Foreign Ministry, the Cuban Ambassador expressed that it is a great honor to represent the island in a friendly country, united by feelings of friendship and solidarity, promoted by the historical leaders Fidel Castro Ruz and Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
For his part, Mr. Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi highlighted the good state of bilateral relations and the willingness of the Qatari government to strengthen them, while welcoming the Cuban diplomat and wishing him success in the performance of his mission.
Cuba and Qatar established diplomatic relations on December 13, 1989.
