Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel participates in the debates of the Permanent Working Commissions (CPT) of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP, parliament) scheduled for today and tomorrow in this capital.
Some 11 CTPs of the ANPP will analyze in the Convention Palace more than 90 topics of interest to the citizens, after an intense stage of tours and exchange with labor collectives.
Some one thousand work centers, institutions and communities were visited by the members of these parliamentary structures, in visits to the territories together with deputies to the Cuban parliament.
The ANPP and its CPTs continuously check the fulfillment of their orientations and decisions, assured the secretary of that body, Homero Acosta, in a recent press conference.
The Third Ordinary Period of Sessions of the 10th Legislature of the ANPP, scheduled to begin on July 17, will analyze the proposed laws on Citizenship, Migration and Foreigners, as well as those on Administrative Procedure, Transparency and Access to Public Information, and the System of Honorary Titles and Decorations.
Likewise, the deputies will discuss the draft policy for the socialist state enterprise law, which will be debated in other meetings of the ANPP.
This time, the Caribbean country's legislature will elect lay judges for the People's Supreme Court, the government of Villa Clara province (center) will be accountable and a group of new deputies will take their seats in parliament.
Members of the National Electoral Commission, created to organize, direct and supervise elections, popular consultations, plebiscites and referendums, will also be elected.
During the first day of the legislative sessions, the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, will explain to the deputies the progress of the implementation of the measures to correct distortions and re-launch the economy, informed ANPP sources.
