Roseau, November 27, 2019. His Excellency Mr. Charles Angelo Savarin, President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, once again called for end to the unjustified and continuing economic blockade against Cuba, in order to release the vast potential of the Cuban people, so that it assumes the role that corresponds to it in the world economic and commercial system.
The Head of State of Dominica referred in those terms in his speech yesterday, September 26, 2019, in the high-level segment of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, which takes place these days at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York. That claim is inserted in the traditional position of condemnation of the blockade that the government of this sister nation has maintained.
Cuba will present at the current session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, on November 6 and 7, for the twenty-eighth consecutive occasion a resolution against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US government. EE.UU.; whose consequences are reflected in the report on resolution 73/8 of the General Assembly of the United Nations that establishes the need to end this blockade.
