Havana, June 2, 2025.- The President of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, arrived in Cuba on the evening of June 2nd for an official visit to our country, leading a large parliamentary delegation.
Upon his arrival at Havana's José Martí International Airport, he was greeted by Representatives Homero Acosta Álvarez, Secretary of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State; and Ramón Aguilar Betancourt, President of the Cuban Legislative Agrifood Commission and of the Cuba-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group; as well as Ulman Carmona Ramos, International Relations official of the National Assembly.
Also present at the airport was Seyed Mohammad Hadi Sobhani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Greater Antilles.
During his stay in our country, the President of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran will hold talks with Cuban authorities, including his counterpart, Esteban Lazo Hernández, among other activities.
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf's visit will contribute to strengthening relations between Cuba and Iran, especially between the two parliaments.
