President of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines receives Cuban Ambassador.

Kingstown, December 16, 2019 - The Ambassador of Cuba, José Manuel Leyva Ventura, was received at the Legislative Assembly of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by its President, Hon. Jomo Sanga Thomas.

During the meeting, the Vincentian parliamentarian highlighted the excellent relations between the two countries and their respective legislative assemblies and wished the Cuban representative success in his mission. For his part, the new Ambassador conveyed the interest in maintaining and expanding existing links between the two nations, highlighting the areas of health and construction.

The Cuban representative also thanked the permanent support of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for its position in the United Nations against the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States maintains on Cuba. The meeting took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
