The President of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. U. Khurelsukh, sent greetings and congratulations to the President, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and the people of Cuba, on the occasion of National Day and the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, on behalf of the Mongolian people.
He recalled his visit to Havana in September 2023 and reiterated his willingness to expand cooperation between the two countries in all possible fields.
The President of Mongolia also wished success and prosperity to the friendly Cuban people.
The government and people of Mongolia recently sent aid to the Cuban people due to the damage caused by successive natural disasters and traditionally support the resolution that the United Nations General Assembly has adopted, for more than 30 years, against the United States economic commercial and financial blockade to Cuba.
Cuba is honored to be the first country in the Americas to establish diplomatic relations with Mongolia in 1960 and to open its Embassy in 1962, the only one in Latin America and the Caribbean in its capital in Ulaanbaatar, and to host in Havana the only Mongolian diplomatic mission in our region. Since 1963, some 150 Mongolian professionals have graduated from Cuban universities as part of a cooperation program of free scholarships.
