The President of Mongolia, His Excellency Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and his high-level delegation will arrive in Havana this afternoon, Thursday, September 14, to participate, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Cuba and the Group of 77 plus China (G77), Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, at the Extraordinary Summit on Science, Technology and Innovation that will take place in Cuba on September 15 and 16.
The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, bid farewell to the Mongolian President and his delegation at the Ulaanbaatar International Airport and spoke with several members of the delegation, among others with the Minister of Education and Science, before boarding the flight. . The Ambassador, among other things, deeply thanked the President for his attendance at the most important event of the G77 this year and wished them a good trip and a pleasant and fruitful stay in our country.
The delegation is made up, among others, of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency. Mrs. B. Battsetseg, who will arrive in Cuba later, the Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia and Member of Parliament, His Excellency. Mr. Luvsantseren Enkh-AMGALAM, the Directors of Multilateral Cooperation and Protocol of the Foreign Ministry and other senior officials.
The Mongolian President will meet with the President and other Cuban personalities and the Mongolian Minister of Education and Science will be received by other Ministers of the Island to exchange viewd on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.
The presence of Mongolia at the highest level, together with numerous Heads and Vice Heads of State and Government and Foreign Ministers from more than a hundred countries, gives the Summit great significance and representativeness and will contribute to strengthening the voice of the G77 in the current international context.
Mongolia brings to the Summit an important perspective and contribution as a member of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries with vulnerabilities, challenges and special needs, particularly in terms of logistics, transportation and international trade and as an active international actor.
