Pretoria, February 18, 2020.- President of the Pan-African Parliament recognizes the work of the Cuban government for a more just society
The president of the Pan-African Parliament, Mr. Roger Nkodo Dang, on an official visit to Cuba, held a working meeting with Cuban parliamentarians in the Havana Capitol.
Upon his arrival at the headquarters of the national Parliament, he was received by José LuisToledo, president of the Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs of this Cuban legislative body.
During the exchange, Mr. Nkodo received an explanation of the changes introduced in the new Constitution of the Republic. On these transformations in the constitutional text, Nkodo highlighted his humanistic approach and commented that the support demonstrated by the people evidences the work of the government Cuban for a more just society.
He also thanked the collaboration of Cuban professionals in the countries of the African continent, mainly in the health sector.
Roger NkodoDang arrived in Havana on February 16 for an official visit that will last until February 22, and will fulfill an extensive program of activities. The Pan-African Parliament is one of the institutions of the African Union and has its permanent headquarters in the city of Midrand, South Africa.
