PRESS RELEASE: The Iberoamerican Film Festival returns to Cyprus for its third edition

Nicosia, Cyprus – The Iberoamerican Film Festival returns to Cyprus for its third edition. Organized by the Embassies of Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, and Spain, in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes de Nicosia and The Friends of Cinema Society, the festival will once again offer audiences in Cyprus a rich cinematic journey through the Iberoamerican world.

The festival will open with the Portuguese film Embargo (2010), directed by António Ferreira, on May 8th at 08:00 p.m. at Pantheon Cinema. Following the screening, guests are invited to enjoy a cocktail reception.

The program will continue at the same venue, with screenings starting at 08:30 p.m.:
May 16th: La herencia de Flora (2024, Peru) directed by Augusto Tamayo San Román
May 23rd: El sembrador (2018, Mexico) directed by Melissa Elizondo Moreno
June 6th: Bajo Terapia (2023, Spain) directed by Gerardo Herrero
June 13th: A Estrada 47 (2013, Brazil) directed by Vicente Ferraz
June 20th: El Benny (2006, Cuba) directed by Jorge Luis Sánchez

All films will be screened in their original languages, with English or Greek subtitles. Admission is free and open to all.
