Dominica, Roseau, December 2, 2016. Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit presided over the religious service offered in memory of the late Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. The service was carried out in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church of this capital and officiated by the Bishop of Roseau, Gabriel Malzaire.
The event was attended by the President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, S.E. Charles Savarin, as well as the entire cabinet. Also present were the Cuban ambassador to Dominica, Juan Carlos Frómeta, staff of the Embassy, members of the Cuban Medical Brigade, Dominican graduates in Cuba, members of solidarity, Cuban residents, and the general public.
The religious service is part of a group of activities that have been developing throughout the week, as a tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
