Roseau, September 13th, 2019. The Prime Minister of Dominica, Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit, received the Ambassador of Cuba in this country, Ulises Arranz Fernández, in his office of the government headquarters of the sister caribbean nation, in the afternoon today September 13th, 2019.
During the meeting, the cuban Ambassador thanked the traditional position of Dominica support to Cuba and his condemnation of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the US government. to the cuban people, which continues to increase despite of worldwide repudiation. He also thanked the recent words of the Prime Minister in that regard, during the farewell ceremony of the builder’s brigade that worked on the reconstruction of the country after the passage of Hurricane Maria.
For his part, the Prime Minister of Dominica reiterated the condemnation of the blockade and his commitment to continue supporting the government and people of Cuba in this battle until the blockade ends.
