Kingstown, July 28th. The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, once again condemned the blockade against Cuba, during his speech on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the birth of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, at a ceremony held at the diplomatic headquarters of the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the Caribbean island.
The Head of Government Vicentino commented on the implications and damage caused by this inhumane policy and exemplified it through the difficulties in making bank transactions for the purchase of a much-needed medicine such as Heberprot-B.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister recalled his permanent brotherhood with Commander Hugo Chávez and praised the antiimperialist, solidarity and love for the Latin American and Caribbean peoples work of the Venezuelan revolutionary leader.
At the end of his words, the Venezuelan leader described Bolivar, Chavez and Fidel as giant figures of the Caribbean. During the meeting, a painting by the artist Nerissa King was unveiled that recreates the faces of both Venezuelan heroes.
The activity was attended by the Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, José M. Leyva Ventura, friends of solidarity and officials of the brother country.
