Promoted in Mongolia "Care 2" diabetic foot program using Cuban product Heberprot-P.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. October 5, 2020. Organized by the pharmaceutical company Mongolian Import-Export Concern (MEIC) and with the presence of the Ambassador of Cuba Raúl Delgado Concepción and the General Directors of the three main Hospitals of Ulaanbaatar, a new program of attention to complications of diabetic foot ulcers and diabetic patients in general with the use of the Cuban product Heberprot-P, called “Care 2”.

Registered in Mongolia in March 2018, Heberprot-P has managed to avoid the amputation of the lower limbs of about 60 Mongolian patients who suffer from these complications due to this disease. Also present at the opening of the program were members of the Mongolian Diabetes Association, doctors and specialists who have been related to the product and in the trainings carried out by Cuban specialists from the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) of Cuba.

By signing an agreement between the Mongolian company that supplies said medicine in Mongolia and the Hospitals involved, they intend to make the benefits of the medicine reach more directly to most of the patients who today suffer from complications of foot ulcers. diabetes, actively involving all actors of society in Mongolia who can safely contribute to a better control of the complications of this disease.

 The Cuban Ambassador thanked the health authorities of these hospitals and the pharmaceutical company for this effort, noting that only a comprehensive national program of care for diabetes and its complications can effectively prevent the amputations that today incapacitate hundreds of Mongols who suffer from the disease in Mongolia.
