Radio and Television Company of South Africa opens its doors to the Embassy of Cuba.

Representatives of the Embassy of Cuba were received in the South African state radio and television company (SABC), as part of the exchanges to strengthen ties with Cuban radio and television.

 

During the visit, the Minister Counselor of the embassy, Rebeca Hernández, accompanied by the official in charge of the press Leslie Salgado and Wilmia Verrier, director of the choral group Ensemble Vocal Luna, held meetings with the executives in charge of content production, the historical archives and directors of Radio Africa.

 

At the meeting were evaluated the possibilities of cooperation in various areas, among which are production of historical series and digitization of archives.

 

Both parties reiterated the will to formalize a cooperation agreement in areas of common interest. Likewise, contacts were made for the possible participation of the Cuban choir Ensemble Vocal Luna in joint activities as part of the celebrations planned in South Africa to mark the centenary of the birth of Nelson Mandela.
