Kingstown, November 8. The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz - Canel Bermúdez sent messages of congratulations to Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves on the occasion of his re-election as Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the victory of his Party in the recent elections.
In his letter, comrade Raul conveyed the warmest congratulations to the Labour Party for Unity and the Vincentian leader on his fifth term as Prime Minister and wished them success in carrying out such a high responsibility on behalf of our people, Party and Government.
For his part, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel reaffirmed the "unwavering commitment to continue strengthening the historic and fraternal ties of friendship, cooperation and solidarity between our countries.
Upon receiving the missives from the Cuban ambassador to the island, comrade Ralph Gonsalves reiterated his deep gratitude and friendship with the Army General and the Cuban President and once again demonstrated the brotherhood and solidarity that unites our peoples, parties and governments.
