Receives Ralph Gonsalves as new Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Kingstown, December 12. The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Honorable Ralph Gonsalves, received the new Cuban Ambassador to that sister Caribbean nation, José Manuel Leyva Ventura, at his government headquarters offices.

In a fraternal and friendly atmosphere, they were able to confirm the excellent state of bilateral relations and ratified the will to continue deepening the bonds of friendship, collaboration and cooperation in various areas.

The Cuban Ambassador thanked the President for the historic position of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines condemning the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States on our country.

For his part, Prime Minister Gonsalves ratified his solidarity with the Cuban Revolution in the face of the aggressive escalation of the U.S. government towards the island.

The meeting was attended by the Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister, Sir Louis Straker and other senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
