Ambassadors from various countries accredited in Ulan Bator and the Director General of the Department of the Americas, Middle East and Africa of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, went to the Embassy of Cuba to pay posthumous tribute and sign the book of condolences opened on the occasion of the recent death of the prominent Cuban revolutionary, jurist, diplomat and politician, comrade Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada.
Alarcón was Ambassador / Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations Organization in New York, in two periods, Deputy Minister, First Deputy Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and member of its Political Bureau and President of the National Assembly of People's Power, for 20 years, between 1993 and 2013.
The signatories recognized the great skills as a diplomat of comrade Alarcón and his contribution to the defense of the Cuban Revolution in the international arena and to the development of bilateral relations with several countries, expressing his deep sorrow for such a sensitive loss.
They also conveyed their most sincere condolences to the Cuban government and people, as well as to his family and friends.
