Cape Town, February 10, 2026.- Cuba's ambassador to South Africa, Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo, held a fruitful meeting this afternoon with friends of Cuba in the country, South African intellectuals, filmmakers, and documentary makers, with whom he discussed the deep ties that unite Cuban and African cultures.
They also exchanged views on the possibilities of increasing collaboration between the two countries in the field of culture, taking advantage of the historical tradition that connects us.
The ambassador expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share information about Cuba with personalities from the field of art and culture in Cape Town and deeply appreciated the love for Cuba in the southernmost part of the African continent.
