The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, was received by Sandy Peters-Philips, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Commerce of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
During the meeting, the Permanent Secretary informed that the Vincentian Company "East Caribbean Metals / Plastic.” will represent the country again, in the 35th edition of the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV), to be held from October 30 to November 3 this year 2017.
The Vincentian entrepreneurs will be accompanied in the event by a representative of the Ministry of Industries and a Trade Facilitator of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Commerce of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
After reviewing the progress of bilateral cooperation, the Permanent Secretariat thanked the recent incorporation of a Cuban general surgeon and anesthesiologist to the team of the Central Hospital "Milton Cato".
The Cuban Ambassador expressed that, despite the criminal commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US, Cuba maintains, expands and deepens its programs of cooperation in the different sectors with many countries of the world.
The Permanent Secretariat deplored the persistence of the United States blockade against Cuba and reiterated the invariable decision of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to support and accompany the Greater Antilles in their struggle for the definitive and unconditional uprising of that criminal policy.
