Secretary of State of the Mongolian Chancellery receives a Cuban Ambassador.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. September 21, 2017. His Excellency, Mr. Davaasuren Damdinsuren, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, received today the Ambassador of Cuba Raúl Delgado Concepción with whom he discussed various issues of bilateral and multilateral interest. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Damdin Gansukh, Director General of the Department of America, Middle East and Africa, and Ms. Nyamjav Yondonsharav, Director of the Bureau of Diplomatic Corps Services.

The Cuban Ambassador thanked the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support of the government and people of Mongolia for the battle waged by Cuba against the criminal economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States of America on our country since 1962. Secretary of State, for his part, reaffirmed the support position of Mongolia in reference to the Cuban resolution condemning the blockade, which will be presented again to the General Assembly of the United Nations at its 72nd regular session on November 1st.

Mr. Davaasuren also transferred to the Cuban Ambassador his condolences for the human losses and material damages caused by the passing of Hurricane Irma through Cuba and indicated his confidence that the Cuban people and government will overcome these difficulties.

The bilateral issues covered most of the time at the meeting where the Secretary of State of the Foreign Ministry pointed out that the visit of the President of Mongolia to Cuba in September 2016 constituted a major boost for the new prospects for trade, culture and sports between the two countries.
