Nicosia, Cyprus - The Embassy of Cuba in Cyprus is pleased to announce that the loading of the humanitarian aid container bound for Cuba was successfully completed today at the facilities of CIM Biomedical Co. This important shipment, the result of a broad solidarity effort, is scheduled to depart for the Caribbean island next week.
The container includes medical supplies, medicines, and other vital resources that will be delivered to the "Juan Manuel Márquez" Pediatric Hospital in Marianao and the religious institution Quisicuaba, where they will directly benefit the most vulnerable population.
This initiative has been made possible thanks to the generous collaboration of multiple organizations and individuals from Cypriot society, once again demonstrating the strong bonds of friendship between Cyprus and Cuba. Among the main contributors are the Bishopric of Tamssos and Orinis, led by Bishop Isaias; the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association; the Cyprus Peace Council; the Caliente Dance Studio school directed by Giorgios and Cuban national Dayana; the Association of Cuban Residents in Cyprus; and Dr. Panayiotis Kontides.
Special mention goes to CIM Biomedical Co, whose directors and workers, particularly Panikos, Eleni, and Maria Karmiou, have not only contributed to the cause but have also provided their facilities for loading the container. Likewise, the Ministry of Health of Cyprus has made a valuable contribution to this humanitarian mission, as has Pluton Travel company, its customers, and directors.
The entire staff of the Cuban Embassy in Cyprus has worked tirelessly in coordinating this solidarity effort, ensuring that all resources reach their final destination.
"We are deeply grateful to all the people and institutions that have contributed to making this solidarity project a reality. In difficult times, these gestures of brotherhood between peoples illuminate our path and remind us that solidarity knows no borders," expressed the Ambassador of Cuba to Cyprus.
The Cuban Embassy will keep the community informed about the arrival of the container at its destination and the positive impact of this aid on the beneficiary institutions (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
