(Doha, November 26, 2025). In a beautiful gesture of solidarity, commitment, and support for the homeland and the numerous families affected by Hurricane Melissa, Cuban healthcare professionals working in Qatar, together with the Cuban Embassy, sent a container to the province of Santiago de Cuba to help the affected families. Cuban residents and Arab friends in this Gulf country joined in this initiative.
The container includes food, medicine, clothing, toiletries, beds, mattresses, water tanks, and other essential items to meet the basic needs of the affected population.
This beautiful gesture of love and solidarity also pays tribute to the life and work of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro on the 9th anniversary of his passing. His legacy inspires many generations of Cubans to continue working for a more just and compassionate world. As Fidel said, “Solidarity is the tenderness of the people.”
