Solidarity knows no sanctions or blockades

Pretoria, 15 July 2025. The Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA) issued a statement of solidarity with Cuba and its leaders in response to the new sanctions imposed by the Donald Trump administration against the Cuban president and other senior government and Communist Party officials.

Strongly condemning the announced measures, the organisation reaffirmed its support for the Revolution and demanded an end to the blockade, the lifting of all sanctions against Cuba and its people, and the removal of the island from the unilateral list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism.
