Canberra, November 11, 2023. During this evening, the Cuba Solidarity Movement in the city of Canberra (ACFS), held an event to denounce the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba. At the same time the event served to raise funds to support the project "Australia-Cuba Children Hospital" which for several years has been contributing to pediatric hospitals in the city of Havana and has served as a bridge of solidarity and love between the two peoples.
During the activity, the Cuban Ambassador to Australia, informed the more than 150 people gathered on the results obtained in the vote held at the United Nations General Assembly against the criminal Blockade. She also thanked on behalf of the Cuban authorities for the support of the solidarity movement in denouncing the blockade as the main obstacle to the development of the Cuban people.
The event was also attended by members of the Cuban diplomatic headquarters, as well as several ambassadors of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Australian capital.
