Pretoria, September 19, 2019.- The South Africa FM radio station of the South African Broadcasting Corporation network, aired a special program dedicated to Cuba, in the 40-minute long space The Talking Point.
The official from the Cuban Embassy participated as guest in the program and answered some questions about the Cuba-South Africa relations; the medical student training programme for South Africans in Cuba, known as Fidel-Mandela; the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution; the relations with the United States; as well as the history, traditions and touristic options in the island.
During the program which presented the excellent Cuban music, the diplomat highlighted the excellent bilateral relations, which are celebrating the 25th anniversary since the diplomatic relations were formalized. In this regard, she reiterated the gratitude to the people and government of South Africa for their steadfast support for Cuba in the struggle against the blockade imposed by the United States and approached up-to-date topics regarding the tightening of that criminal and illegal policy.
The Cuban representative mentioned the different touristic destinations of the island which can be visited any time of the year also by the South African tourists who travel to our country.
