Benoni, March 03, 2024 - The General Secretary of the South African Communist Party, Solly Mapaila ratified the Party's invariable position of support for the Cuban Revolution in his speech at the 13th Gauteng Provincial Congress, while also demanded the lifting of the blockade imposed by the United States against our island.
The Cuban Ambassador to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, participated in this congress, which sessioned from 01 March until today. In his speech, the diplomat highlighted the excellent level of relations between the both countries and peoples. He also expressed gratitude to the South African comrades for their unwavering solidarity with Cuba, especially in the fight against the blockade.
