Pretoria, 21 May 2024.- The South African Communist Party issued a strong statement reiterating its solidarity with the people and government of Cuba. It also condemns the US-led imperialist aggression and the continued inclusion of the island on the so-called list of countries "sponsoring" of terrorism by the State Department.
In the statement, the Party reiterates its call on the US to remove Cuba from this arbitrary and unjust list, while demanding the lifting of the illegal economic, financial, trade and investment blockade against Cuba, the end to its occupation of Cuba's Guantanamo Bay and a complete and unconditional end to all machinations for destabilisation and regime change against Cuba with immediate effect.
