Pretoria, June 24.- The National Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) issued a public declaration of solidarity with Cuba, on the occasion of a special meeting of the national and provincial leadership of that important organization.
In its statement, the South African Trade Union Central praised the important role played by Cuba in the international efforts against COVID 19, by sending undreds of health professionals to many countries of the
world to save lives.
Likewise, the South African union leaders expressed their rejection and condemnation of the continuous aggressions of the Trump administration against the Cuban people.
The National Congress of South African Trade Unions is part of the Tripartite Alliance that governs South Africa, and is not only the largest Trade Union Central in the country, but also the entire African continent. Its 18 branch unions group millions of members.
