South Australian Legislative Council member receives Cuban Ambassador to Adelaide. 

Adelaide, March 31, 2025, The Cuban Ambassador to Australia was received this morning by Robert Simms, member of the Legislative Council of South Australia. 
During the meeting they discussed various issues of bilateral interest among which stand out the cooperation between Cuba and Australia with the application of the method ‘Yo si puedo’ in Aboriginal populations for more than 12 years with the participation of Cuban professionals. 
The diplomat conveyed to the parliamentarian, Cuba's willingness to continue strengthening cooperation ties with Australia, as well as to advance in the development of concrete projects that can particularly benefit the Australian Aboriginal population. 
The occasion was an opportunity to discuss Cuban medical cooperation and Cuba's experience in dealing with natural disasters and pandemics in all regions, including the South Pacific. 
Both representatives agreed on the potential for expanding bilateral relations, particularly in areas such as health and education.
