Ulan Bator, October 4, 2018.- As a culmination of her two weeks of work in Ulan Bator, Dr. Yanisbel Ortiz Peña, Specialist of 1st Degree in Angiology and Vascular Surgery of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB), was invited by Dr. Baldorj Ochirkhuyag, Vice President of Cooperation, Research and Innovation, of the National University of Mongolia, to visit the Faculty of Microbiology of that university. During the visit, she was able to share her experiences of working in Mongolia with the teachers and students.
Dr. Ortiz advised, in the last two weeks, the medical consultations to Mongolian patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcer and participated in training to the Mongolian specialists that will conform the Department that will treat this ailment in the Songdo Hospital of Ulan Bator. The Cuban specialist also participated in the National Symposium on Diabetes that was held between September 20 and 21, where she gave a lecture on the use of the Cuban medicine Heberprot-P and on the National Diabetes Care Program implemented in Cuba .(EmbaCuba Mongolia)
